The Ministry of Education sources report that Allianz Insurance, which was in charge of the Ministry of Education’s security insurance program last year, is due to pay Rs. 30 million in student benefits.
A senior official of the Ministry stated that no documents related to student compensation have been submitted by Allianz insurance to the Ministry for reimbursement.
He went on to say that students and parents who have not received insurance compensation regularly inquire from the Ministry regarding this issue and that Allianz insurance has been sent several reminder on the matter.
The Ministry has also lodged a complaint with the Insurance Regulatory Commission against the insurance company for non-payment of compensation.
