China has placed a billionaire businessman under investigation as he has criticized Chinese president Xi Jinping’s handling of the coronavirus epidemic

Namely Ren Zhiqiang, a retired real-estate tycoon with nexus to senior chinses officials is now alleged to have been committing serious violations under the domestic law.Billionaire who stated that “people’s lives are being ravaged by both the virus and the major illness of the system,” has further accused the communist party for putting forward party interests to secure power above safety of the general public.

Mr Ren was disciplined after questioning on social media about president’s demand to chinese state media to be loyal to his party. As a result Mr Ren has lost his party membership and his popular account on social media platform Weibo.
