Former Sudanese Prime Minister Sadiq al-Mahdi Kovid has died after being infected with the H5N1 virus.
He died at a hospital in the United Arab Emirates after being infected with the virus three weeks ago.
Twenty-one family members and relatives of the former Sudanese prime minister have been diagnosed with Covid-19.
Sadiq al-Mahdi, 84, served as Sudanese Prime Minister from 1986 to 1989.
