Indonesian President “Jokowi” Widodo has stated that he will have to take unpredicted steps including Cabinet reshuffle, if his ministers fail to take the COVID-19 crisis seriously.
President has mentioned – “The atmosphere in the last three months and in the next three months should be one of crisis,” We should not consider [this situation] to be normal. That is very dangerous. And I still see that many of see this as normal.”
“Once again, do not act as if everything is normal,” he said. “If you need to issue a ministerial regulation [to accelerate spending], issue it. If you need a presidential regulation, I will issue it.”
Jokowi has mentioned that only 1.5% of the budgeted Rp 75 trillion [US$5.28 billion] has been disbursed for health sector.
