Myanmar found 1,142 COVID-19 new confirmed cases on October 2 and 32 more people died, announced the Ministry of Health and Sports (MOHS) on the night of October 2.
A total of 6895 samples are tested on October 2 and found 1,142 confirmed patients, it said.
A total of 222 people are allowed to be discharged from the hospital bringing the total number of people to 4,378. Up to 353 patients have died from the virus, it said.
Hospitals in Yangon Region are testing COVID-19 suspects using rapid anti-gen diagnostic test kits, and among the tests, those with loss of smell are included, announced the MOHS.
