Eid Al Fitr will begin on Sunday (May 24) in Pakistan, Minister for Science and Technology Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said today (May 23).

The minister said that according to the calendar prepared by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Eid will be celebrated on May 24 in many countries including Pakistan.

Saturday (May 23) will be the last day of the holy month of Ramadan, and Sunday is the first day of Eid Al Fitr in many countries.

Pakistan has earlier announced six-day Eid holidays from May 22 to 27 both of public and private sector. According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Interior, Friday, May 22 to Wednesday, May 27, will be Eid holidays in Pakistan.
