According to a huge leak of financial papers, The family of Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta has secretly owned a network of offshore companies for decades, while dominating the country’s politics since independence. The Kenyattas’ offshore investments, include a company with bonds and worth $30m (£22m). These were discovered among thousand hundreds of administrative paperwork from the archives of 14 law firms and service providers in the British Virgin Islands (BVI) and Panama as well as other tax havens. This was uncovered on an investigation run by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ), Finance Uncovered, Finance Uncovered, Africa Uncensored.
