Due to a technical failure a Sri Lankan-flagged wooden ship had run ashore and sunk off Al Athaiba in Muscat according to the Maritime Security Centre of Oman
As Oman local news agencies reported the ship was loaded with miscellaneous goods and oil derivatives and carried 6 crews on board who have been evacuated and placed under medical observation.
