Sri Lanka Police has warned of strict legal action against people caught violating the quarantine curfew regulations
A total of 61,093 persons have been placed under arrest for violating the curfew since March 20 while 17,172 vehicles were seized.
During the last 24 hours ending at 6.00 am today (21 May), 668 individuals have been arrested for violating curfew orders, the Police said.
Meanwhile, 248 vehicles were also taken into custody during this period.
In addition, 17,949 cases pertaining to curfew violations have been filed so far.
